Abstract


Learning analytics could play a key role in addressing pedagogical problems, allowing the design process by reporting relevant information grounded on data of the learning process and at the same time support teachers’ inquiry while designing or evaluating a course design.  However, the role of pedagogical context in learning analytics has not been fully understood. There is a need to develop an evidence-based framework that conceptualizes the interdependency between data collection, interpretation, and learning designs. This paper argues the concept of a LA-pattern, and discussing the potential of how such pattern enable teacher inquiry in the process of authentic design
