Abstract


Talk to any of your students and the chances are that video games are an important part of their life outside the classroom. Understanding the games our students are into and integrating them into what we do in the classroom will enable us to better understand what motivates our learners, add more creativity, imagination and fun to our classes, and help learners develop the language and literacy skills they need to succeed in the real world.

This hands-on workshop invites you to try out a range of game-based activities and provides you with the guidance and resources to implement digital game-based learning in your English language classroom.
